GFDF Apple Rhubarb Crisp

This yummy GFDF apple rhubarb crisp was the perfect blend of fall and spring.  I used the apples from our tree and the remaining rhubarb from our garden.  This recipe is gluten free and dairy free for those of you who are sensitive as we are.  I can’t even tell the difference and serve it to my friends all the time and they can’t tell it’s GF!  If you don’t happen to have rhubarb around, just leave it out.

This makes a yummy breakfast or satisfying treat for your sweet tooth.

Here’s what you’ll need

Set aside.Make the oatmeal topping in a separate bowl.  Stir flour, oats, brown sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and butter until crumbly.Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apples and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the apples are cooked through, the juices are bubbling, and the topping is a golden brown color
